چکیده
Environmental pollution by arsenic (As) and hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) has been one of the most serious environmental problems in recent years around world. Their presence water is a result both natural anthropogenic activities, poses risks to human health due their high toxicity. Adsorption leading method used remove chromium, with biochar, carbonaceous pyrolytic product made from various types biomass, under low oxygen conditions, being common adsorbents its surface area. Although biochar’s ability immobilize As Cr(VI) high, order increase adsorption capacity nutrient release potential rice husk it essential select an appropriate pyrolysis biochar modification technique. Physical or biological activation, steam/gas UV irradiation, magnetization, alkali/acid treatment, nano-modification are main methods that will be discussed this review. These modifications have led multi-fold enhancement adsorption/reduction Cr(VI), compared plain biochar. This review provides literature overview different methods, as well factors influence successfully along regeneration potentials.

Removal of chromium (VI) from aqueous solution by adsorption using cousinia eryngioides boiss and activated carbon
Adsorption capacity of Cr (VI) onto cousinia eryngioides boiss, activated carbon was investigated in a batch system by considering the effects of various parameters like contact time, initial concentration, pH, temperature, agitation speed, absorbent dose and particle size. Cr (VI) removal is pH dependent and found to be maximum at pH 2.0. The amounts of Cr (VI) adsorbed increased with increase...

The removal of chromium(VI) from an aqueous solution using persimmon gel was examined. The amount of chromium(VI) removed was strongly affected by the pH of the solution, with all chromium(VI) being removed at pH 2 or lower. However, in a solution containing, 15 mg dry weight of immobilized persimmon gel, the amount of removed chromium(VI) decreased as the pH increased. A part of chromium(VI) w...
